On 20. April 2012 the 3. IFCES meeting takes place in Montreal/ Canada.

From 17. to 19. April 2012  the 6th meeting of ISO/ TC 232 "Learning services for non-formal education and training" takes place in Montreal/ Canada.

On 18. January 2012 an European networked meeting "ISO 29990 - International service standard and management system for learning service provider. One year experiences." has taken place in Berlin. The speakers and participants came from Austria, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Romania, U.K. and Poland. 

On 08. December 2011 the 2. IFCES meeting was held in Wildau near Berlin/ Germany hosted by DeuZert GmbH one of the leading ISO 29990 certification bodies.

Since October 2011 the book How to implement a learning service management system based on ISO 29990:2011 is available in Japanese language. Author is Kazuo Uchikawa, ITECNO, Ink. Tokyo.

On 11. June 2011 the International Forum for the Certification of Educational Services (IFCES) was founded in Tokyo/ Japan. The founding is related to ISO 29990. The founding members are from North America, Asia and Europe.

From 07. to 10. June 2011 the 5th meeting of ISO/TC 232 "Learning services for non-formal education and training" took place in Beijing, China. 

Since May 2011 another Implementation Guide for (DIN) ISO 29990 is available published in German language by DIN, the German Institute for Standardization. Mr. Jürgen Heene is one of the authors as well.

On 21. January 2011 the ISO 29990 Quality Guide - Code of Practice and Aids of Implementation was published by EADL European Association for Distance Learning. Mr. Jürgen Heene is one of the authors.
